Each grade level will start at the beginning, but their academic goals will advance as the years progress. Kindergarten and 1st grade will  learn music theory that gears toward future piano studies, 2nd grade will learn proper piano technique, 3rd grade will be proficient in notes and rhythms, 4th grade will create music that is expressive and emotive, and  5th grade will create an independent practice of the piano. Throughout the units, world music will be integrated into piano and general music.  

In the future, we hope to host piano recitals and have the students play for the community. The students in the piano program will improve their own academic and musical ability while providing entertainment and enrichment for the community.
