
We are proud to recognize Paul Ritter and LuRay Lerdal from Centennial High School for earning third place in the television video production at the Skills USA National Competition held in Atlanta, Georgia.
The television video production contest challenged students to showcase their creativity and technical skills in planning, producing, and editing video projects within the specified time limits and themes. Great job, Paul and LuRay!

We have a team from Centennial High School that went to the FCCLA National Competition in Seattle, Washington, June 29-July 3. The team competed in the Hospitality Tourism and Recreation Competition. This competition challenged students to develop and present projects related to the hospitality and tourism industry.
Adrian Chacon-Tirre, Mia Garcia and Mia Orta from CHS received a gold medal at Nationals by exceeding the specified rubric criteria including project originality, content accuracy, presentation skills and adherence to guidelines by scoring 90 out of 100.

The 2024 HOSA International Competition was held in Houston, Texas. During the annual event, students from around the world compete in various health-related events, demonstrating their knowledge, skills and leadership in health professions.

Congratulations to Abdoulaye Dieng from Centennial High School earning Top 10 at Nationals in the Interviewing Skills Competition.
Hats off to Riya Ramesh from Centennial High School for ranking Top 10 at Nationals in Clinical Nursing.


We would like to celebrate Jadzia Murphy from CHS for her outstanding performance in the Educators Rising Lesson Planning and Delivery Humanities Competition.
Jadzia developed and presented an original humanities lesson plan and was evaluated on her ability to create engaging, effective, lesson plans and deliver them in a classroom setting.
Her efforts earned her third-place at the national competition that was held June 28-July 1 in Washington D.C.

Cruces Creatives invites LCPS students ages 10 through 15 to join a FREE workshop where students have the opportunity to work with resin and acrylic paint to create three dimensional paintings! This class will take place at Cruces Creatives on August 24th.

The air conditioning at Centennial High School is not working at full capacity. Keeping areas for classroom instruction cool is the top priority.
Students have been moved to other areas of the campus while the LCPS HVAC technicians work on fixing the issue.
